This page explains what happens to your data in two places: the Feels app on your iPhone, and this website. They're handled differently, so they're covered separately below.

The app

Your entries and iCloud

Your entries — the words and strengths you record — are stored on your iPhone using SwiftData, Apple's on-device data framework. If your iPhone is signed in to iCloud, they are also mirrored automatically to the app's CloudKit private database (container iCloud.com.feelsapp.Feels), so they survive a lost phone and appear on your other devices.

That storage sits inside your own Apple account, the same way Apple's own apps sync your data. The developer cannot read it: it is private to your Apple ID, and it never passes through a server the developer controls.

To stop syncing, turn Feels off under iOS Settings → [your name] → iCloud. The app's Settings screen shows the current sync status and links you there.

Subscriptions and payment

Subscriptions run through Apple's StoreKit. Apple processes the payment and manages billing; no payment details — card numbers, billing address, or similar — ever reach the developer.

No account required

There is no account, no sign-up, and no email address required to use Feels. You can use the entire app without ever telling anyone who you are.

Analytics and error reporting

Feels uses PostHog, sent to PostHog's EU infrastructure (eu.i.posthog.com), for basic product analytics and for error reporting. What is sent:

• Entries — that an entry was saved (entry_saved) or removed (entry_removed), and whether a save created or updated it. Never the feeling word, the strength, the note, or any text from the entry itself.
• Subscription screens — that the paywall was shown, advanced, or dismissed, that a plan was selected or a trial started, and that Restore was tapped, along with the plan name and which screen opened it.
• Screen views and app opens, captured automatically by the SDK.
• Diagnostics when something goes wrong, including the error and its stack trace, so it can be fixed.
• Feedback surveys — Feels ships two optional in-app surveys, one for settings feedback and one for review feedback. If you choose to send one, the text you write is sent with it. Dismissing a survey sends no text. Please don't include anything you would rather not share.

This data is anonymous and device-level. Feels never signs you in to PostHog and never links these events to your name, email, or Apple ID — there is no "identify" call, no personal profile, and no session replay. PostHog assigns each device an anonymous identifier purely so repeat events can be grouped together.

There is no advertising SDK in the app, and beyond Apple's own frameworks and the PostHog SDK described here, Feels makes no network calls of its own.

Check-in reminders

If you turn on check-in reminders, they are scheduled entirely on your device by iOS. Nothing about a reminder — that you set one, when it fires, or whether you acted on it — is sent anywhere.

Your data isn't sold

The developer does not sell or share your personal data with anyone, for any purpose.

Deleting everything

You can erase all of your data — every entry, on-device and in iCloud — from the app's own Settings screen, at any time. That button covers your entries; the anonymous analytics events described above sit in PostHog separately, and are covered under your rights below.

This website

The analytics described above is inside the app, and only the app. This website, feelswheel.com, is a separate, static marketing site and runs none of it: no cookies, no advertising, no cross-site identifiers, and no third-party widgets, trackers, or fonts loaded from another server. Its pages and assets are served by Cloudflare, which — like any host — processes standard connection-level information (such as IP address) to deliver the page; the developer does not layer any additional tracking on top of that.

If privacy-preserving product analytics is enabled on this website in the future, it will be cookieless, will not build cross-site profiles, and will be named here before it ships.

Your rights

If you are in the EU/EEA or the UK, the data described on this page is processed by the developer of Feels, based in Hungary, acting as the data controller and reachable at support@feelswheel.com.

You have the right to ask what is held about you, to have it corrected or erased, to receive a copy of it, and to object to it being processed. You also have the right to complain to a supervisory authority — in Hungary, the NAIH (Nemzeti Adatvédelmi és Információszabadság Hatóság).

In practice the data sits in two separate places. Your entries are held in your own device and Apple account, and the app's “Erase all data” button wipes them, on-device and in iCloud, without the developer being involved at all. The anonymous analytics events are held in PostHog and are not covered by that button — email support@feelswheel.com and they will be deleted. On PostHog's free plan they are in any case retained for no more than 12 months, and deleted after that.
